Moore, Metcalfe, Godwin & Murphy have all got law's named after them.. except they aren't real laws in the scientific or legal sense, mainly they are light-hearted observations masquerading as deep insights into the zeitgeist. To get immortalised for this sort of feeble observational comedy devalues the hard work of Kepler, Newton and the others. It must really piss off the likes of Darwin & Einstein, Darwin is dispossesed of credit in the non-specific 'Theory of Evolution' and similarly, it is merely 'General Relativity'.
Still they are all better off than poor old Occam, who only got a shaving implement.
I did once come up with a Caspar's Law but I've forgotten what it was about. Maybe i'm bitter?
